Today is going to be a good day.

Never mind that I just spilled half a cup of coffee on my dry clean only jacket and I’m going to be meeting a room full of strangers later today while wearing a stained jacket. Never mind that.

Today is going to be a great day.

First, I’m getting my haircut. And all the curls said, “thank you Jesus!”

Then, after work, I’m attending my first TweetUp. A TweetUp is kind of like a blogging get together, except for people who use Twitter. I have no clue what to expect and I’m more than a little nervous, but I’m looking forward to seeing a few local girlfriends who I know will let me cling to them if I start to feel lost.

But that’s not why today is going to be awesome.

Today is going to be awesome because AFTER I get my haircut, and my eyebrows waxed and my social media groove on, I get to pick up my brother-in-law from the airport!!

He's going to kill me when he sees this picture. Heh.

It’s his first visit and I am beyond excited. Jeremy is my kindred spirit in every way. We rival for black sheep status and have intellectual boxing matches. He is, without a doubt, as much my brother as he is Jared’s. Well, except for that whole blood relation thing.

Whatever.

I’m stoked.

Everyone in the house is stoked. The kids have been counting down the days and even Jared has been extra perky. And today he’s finally getting here.

YAY!!!!
