Since my answer is “retire young”, everything I’m doing is going towards that goal and has been since I was 10.

For two and a half years it has been, “When I recover from the car accident I will be able to ….” Now I’m realizing there will be no full recovery and I’ve lost a lot of time. I’m now making real plans for 2009. A mother/daughter trip to NY for shopping. Hawaii next summer. They may seem like small goals – but when my whole life has been pain, surgeries, and recovery … these small steps are now major accomplishments. I’m excited to finally be moving forward even if it is in very small steps!

I’ve heard so many people say I know I’d be the greatest ____________ if I only knew what it was.
Hopefully, they find out.

I may need to high jack this because to put it all in this little comment box would take up far too much space.
But today, my goal is to make it through the day. Baby steps.

I’ve only gotten about as far as today in the planning stages…which includes getting not one but TWO oil changes…and surviving the day

I’m doing it. Every moment of each day. And I mean this literally. Each moment to me is a precious lifetime. My dad died very young and very suddenly. That became my mantra for living each moment. Right now, typing this to you, is exactly what I want to be doing… and relishing the fact that I can. And in this moment, I see the baby blue of the sky out my window. The whispy ribbon of clouds. I hear Janie’s doggies breathing. I smell my spaghetti sauce. My fingers glide over the keys. I think of you in NYC and I smile. Because this moment also contains all of those memories. AND I think of the calendar that I had a peek at last night… and it is HOT. I feel that right now, too.
Next moment? Line ‘er up.

I think you better ask me again tomorrow because today I want to stop being hassled about the fact that I used to be married. Fucking creditors don’t have to honor divorce decrees, and therefore have to hassle me that I don’t have my ex-husband on my NY car insurance. (Lots of swears.) At least I get to say “I FUCKING TOLD YOU SO” in my head at my ex.

I might have a PMS-induced rage problem today. Maybe. A little.

Right now my plans are to get an internship somewhere in the summer and then graduate and then graduate school somewhere and then be a victim’s advocate.

*laughing at Nat’s comment. I taught my son how to play that on the guitar today. I am the one showing my age!*
I know what I have to do, what I want to be. More than anything I don’t want to look back in ten years and be disappointed in myself. This post is a much needed wake up call!

I agree with Fireheart – I try to do what I’m planning to do with my life everyday – ’cause when you got three little ones, there’s barely time or energy for planning much of anything…just living in the moment and realizing my life is. Right. NOW.
Thanks for the thinking…

I don’t want to think about this shit right now.

I want to find a job that satisfies me while paying me enough to live comfortably. Yeah. I know. Good luck with it.

I gotta go with Dee on this – I wanna rock!
(have you played Singstar? It’s the “Guitar Hero” for voice and Twisted Sister’s on there, video and all. It’s awesome)
On a more serious note, and it is related, I want to write and play music, and invent things related to that. When I’m independently wealthy, that’s what I plan to do. I want to invent the next Animusic or Guitar Hero or something having to do with music and mass participation.
