We bloggers really are narcissistic shits aren’t we?

In all seriousness though, people on the internet are pretty much like people in real life. I’ve had lots of real life disappointments from people I thought were one thing when they were another. People can be jerks alright, in the flesh or on the net.

I want you to remove THAT situation from this post and take what you already said here. I think you are more brilliant than you give yourself credit for.

At some point, we all go through an epiphany moment of trying to figure out if we have got our shit right. I don’t think it was your being wrong about people…I think it was those people being a bit messed up about who they were. That happens sometimes. Even I…yes, I, Queenie herself make this same mistake. It’s not your failure girlie.

Since I need a new place to hang out now, I am pulling up my beach chair here. I like smart people. Smart, sexy people that can make me laugh and also think – are even better.

But it’s a good thing, too – it’s just a reminder that we’re all human, with flaws, and we all fuck things up from time to time, and since we share so much of ourselves online our monumental fuckups are witnessed by a whole lot more people.

It’s also a good reminder to not share QUITE so much of yourself, just in the name of safety, because there ARE unsavory folks out there, ready to scam you any way they can. And there are lots of genuine, warm, friendly, amazing people out there too, so you can’t just close yourself off either.

Hang in there – I’ll bet in a week or so, you’ll be feeling much better! :hug:

Any system that relies for its success on people doing the right thing all the time is doomed to failure.

An Internet community is no exception to this rule.

The people who “triggered” the spewing of name calling and moral judging aren’t bloggers that I read on a regular basis. I had NO idea what was going on until I read a post here, a post there and some comments. Oh Lord, the comments. That’s where I express my astonishment in the after story.

After that…I’m out. And by “after story” I mean like “what the HELL is going on with the world???”

It saddens me to see people rip each other apart for the sake of the drama, the name calling, and to boost their own moral stature.

I don’t like to take sides…and feel soooo much like RW.

I also hate to feel disillusioned and I refused to feel disillusioned. I’ll remain true to who I am and as long as I can put my head on my pillow at night then that’s all that matters.

I just hope she didn’t make another unforgivable fuckup and make me look like a bigger loser than I already do.

Hope you don’t mind me reading and commenting Britt, and I hope whatever it is, it works out.

I am still working out the MASSIVE kinks in my life and as I said before, you give me a bit of relief from my RL troubles, and I thank you.
