    Maybe I’m strange, but I don’t see this as odd. I’ve often been on both sides of this kind of situation. That said, I and all my friends are the type of people who can’t just sit around and not do anything (especially if there are things that need doing). Shoot, I even volunteer for my primary vacation every year.

    heh. Three nights ago I tool Stuperman (3) with me to a convenience store – I needed candy – and chocolate.

    one wall in the store is all juice and pop in coolers and he said – in that loud annoying voice kids get when parents don’t want them heard – LOOK MOMMY! ALCOHOL!!

    He was pretty excited, but the very conservative, religious clerk behind her high and mighty now I will lecture you for eight minutes counter, was not.

    In other words, I’ll be glad to get that Mom of the year award int he mail to you post haste!

    You can keep your clothes on while painting? Really?

    My friends lied to me, we always did our painting in our undies. We had the drinks in lidded cups, no one likes gin with paint mixed in.

    i love painting. OTHER people’s places. everyone knows if there is a painting project that they can count on me to assist.

    you are welcome to put me to work when i visit, but i insist on a couch or bed to pass out in later (because when work is done there will be many, many alcoholic drinks & vats of guac consumed, plus i will be exhausted from all the work i did for you).

    you will have company for quite some time. let me know when your schedule frees up. i’ll come work with ya! (work for you is a vacation for me, bay-bee)

    You are an absolute character. I am excellent with a roller and am very good at prep work (years of detention at Catholic school where the nuns made me paint bedrooms in the convent as punishment.) Sadly, however, I am booked out for the next 6 months. Hahaha.
