Poppy: I don't own it - but I rarely own movies. Although this one may actually be worth buying.

Saw it, own it, took my 3 year old to the movies to see it. Big mistake, not reading what a movie is about OR checking the ratings. Good thing he fell asleep about 15 minutes into it or I woulda been out about 12 bucks.

themuttprincess: please do. In fact, from now on when you see Katherin Hiegl you should think of me.

avitable: we're not all so uncomfortable with confronting our "flaws".

Y2K: I think you can see a man differently when you start thinking of things like "dad" and "not desert me". You'll understand when your vagina grows in.

PS - thanks for the link!!

DutchBitch: I know people who do. 'Course, most of them are divorced now... but still!!!

People in the Sun: from my husband to you and Honey - you know That Scene, during child birth, he says "yep, that's exactly what it looks like."

Tense Teacher: really?? that surprises me. I would have assumed you had some super romantic hot air balloon proposal or something!

Samantha_K: I bet I'll be saying the same thing one day when Prince and I finally hook up.

I really need to see this movie.
You know, people do come together b/c of fate, I'm sure of it.
Three years ago I was pregnant and married. One day a hot UPS man delivers a baby shower gift to me. I obsess about him for days. Flash back to last month when I started dating the UPS man that delivers to my work. Same guy.
There's something to that cosmic shit, I'm just sayin'....

Haven't seen the movie, but I can appreciate the "well, fuck, let's do this" relationship mentality... Geek never proposed to me. We had lived together and been "engaged" for 2 years; the next logical step seemed like marriage, and the family said it was TIME, so we got married. Once in awhile, I feel a little bit sorry for myself for not getting in on the whole fantasy bit, but considering that we've had a damn good marriage for 11 years now, I usually get over it pretty quickly.

We saw it in the theater just after Honey found out she was pregnant, and I just bought it on Sunday. It reminds me of us, too, only in our case both of us were in some ways like the whatever-happens Rogen and the serious Heigl, but in a YinYang way. Something like that. I'm more like him but I'm also slightly serious and practical, and she was more like her but she's also slightly insane. And Honey was upset because Heigl didn't seem like she was in that much pain, but Honey has been hating her life for the last 32 weeks. Eight more to go.

I saw it a week or so ago. My daughter, who has her first "real" boyfriend thought I rented documentary on abstinence. I watched it and thought it was one of the better comedies in some time. And the end where everybody had baby pictures made me think, once again... I am such a freakin woman. Geeez I already have the man cans and I am pretty damn sure I am growing a vagina.

BTW Izzy never made any sense in that movie to me. She was repulsed by Ben Stone (cool name) yet she kept going back to him and sexing his ass up. In fact, she got maddest at him when he stopped sexing her up. It seems that a hottie like her with her life kind of put together and (you know she was getting daily marriage proposals from guys watching her on TV in prison... hell I used to work in radio and I got those letters... I am TOO a man!! Shut up!) SO her choices, when finding out she was "knocked up" did not seem to run true for a rational woman... But once you get past that, I could suspend reality enough to enjoy it.

p.s. The writer's blog WWW.Greyswriter.com is back up for the new season.

I was being serious!

I liked the movie quite a bit (not as much as Superbad, though). I winced throughout parts of it where some of the similarities were more evident with the married couple of Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann. I kept waiting for you to stand up, say "You know what? Fucking A!" and then stab Jared through the eye with a fork and then make a run for Canada.

I'm so glad that didn't actually happen.
