Everything was fine. Just fine. In fact, “I knew all along it would be perfect, mom“.
We survived. Tired, exhausted even, but in one piece.

I’m glad everything worked out.
We survived our 1st day too yesterday. It wasn’t easy!

Wow… already snowing by you huh?

Hmm – what’s missing in that picture? Could it be a bunny, dragged along by Emma?

Yay!

I almost said, wow it’s snowing already? Then realized, Duh! Florida! That’s sand.
Glad everything turned out good!

Hmmm, just wait before you know it that sand across the street will be someone’s front yard.
Glad the first days went well!!

Florida?

Kristin: yeah, relatively so – despite forgetting Emma’s bunny.
Peggy: well congrats to you too then!!
RW: yeah, you know it gets cold down here.
avitable: why do you hate me?
J.:
themuttprincess: shankya!
Kellie:
AmyD: and yet you’re going to call ME out for being a slacker? Pfft
Fogspinner: yep, our own personal private beach. Kinda.
NotaGranny: maybe THOSE people will actually come talk to us!
RW: yes, you know, the place where you and Mrs. RW are planning a vacation soon now that you don’t come here for work?

Another hurdle taken…
And your kids look absolutely adorable!

AWW you can french braid?! Can you be my mommy?! Or at least my bff so we can have sleepovers and you can do my hair…like all the time.

So glad it all went well. Bring on the next obstacle? Na, just relax and enjoy life now….

See. I told you so. HA! You’re like, the only person in america that I can say that to right now. I feel so validated!
Seriously though, each day gets a little easier. At first, like, I would venture to say the first month or two, I had a surreal feeling about me, my surroundings, etc. Now, approaching three years, this is home and I cannot imagine us anywhere else. Big hug. Me

DutchBitch: yeah, they look like their daddy
avitable: fuck of
Brandi: lol, I can’t believe how many people are impressed by the french braiding. Seriously – my mom did it to me and I learned how to do it to myself first (which is MUCH easier, by the way).
Wicked H: but, but, I still need an entertainment center! lol
usedtobeme: you have no idea how wonderful it is to hear that.
Everyone keeps telling me “you’ll be fine” – and I’m like, I’m FINE… but I’m not HOME. I still feel like I’m living in a hotel… surreal, like you said.
It’s nice to hear that it’s NORMAL for it to take a while.

Fuck of what?
Is that like Eye of Newt? Are you casting a spell on me?

so can you tell us how your days at work are treating you or will the big bad bossman read how you really feel and lay the smack down?
Reply
I never doubted it for a moment.
Reply
Wow. What are you doing in Florida??
:poke:

They look adorable… mine start tomorrow. Assuming that I don’t kill them sometime tonight. Which is entirely possible.

Oh oh oh I have to tell you guys this. When I first saw that picture of Emma it looked JUST like Little Miss Britt with HER hair all braided up and cute, even with the cutie shoes.
They are so wonderful and you are such a wonderful mommy babe.
