The Blank Page

by Miss Britt on June 21, 2007

I sit here looking at this screen, wishing I had something funny to write.  I want so badly to entertain you all with laughter and embarassment.  For your sake.

For me?  Well for me I kind of want to wallow.  I want to continue to spew more whiny pity party bull shit about how I cannot take the stress any fucking more.  I want to beg and plead for someone to take pity (there’s that word again) on me, swoop up both my houses and fly me off to a new, finished, home with a pool somewhere.

I want to bitch and moan and have much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

And I just… can’t.

I look at this poor blog, my sadly neglected baby, and I hate that all I have to give is shit lately.  A long, depressing, boring ass line of shit.

I’m starting to wonder if a blank out of date page would be better…

Psst... thanks for stopping by! I hope I didn't traumatize you too badly on your first visit. Remember to subscribe to my RSS feed if you want updates from the site!

You know Forrest Gump right? “Sometimes there just aren’t enough rocks…” Well sometimes there’s just a blank page…No worries my dear Britt, this time next year you will have a whole set of worries and hardships and you won’t even remember today. Things always work out one way or another and we move on, forget, remember just the bad or just the good, never both. This time in your life will at some point be just a memory and hopefully, you will look back and laugh and say so famous words, “It wasn’t soooo bad…”

There’s always pictures. I don’t know about everyone else, but I would find pictures of you disheveled home very entertaining.

Hi … I have something for you that might cheer you up for a minute or two anyway! Instead of being universally loved and adored you could be universally loathed as AC is. (Except by poor, misguided Avi, of course.)

I found this posted by Brad Miskell at Underground Yahoo.

“My first reaction to the 2006 LA Gay Rodeo was: Are you JOKING, GAY PEOPLE! It’s an election year! Aren’t you already dealing with enough bull*%#? (Or should I say guacamole? Guacamoled is rodeospeak for when a dim-witted cow craps itself all over you, as in Ann Coulter just guacamoled me.)”

    for Brad!

I’ve taken a week off every now and then. Don’t stress yourself over it. However, if it matters, your more interesting to read than a lot of folks, even if you’re just writing about not having anything to write about.

    Rock on.

Sit on the floor crassed legs for an hour without moving. When your legs are totally asleep, try to get up.
The attempt will amuse you and your family for a good five minutes, then there is the added bonus of the pins and needles that you will experience for ten minutes.
In that 15 minute block - you will not be thinking about any of your troubles.
It doesn’t seem much but sometimes that 15 minutes of not worrying is enough to snap you out of your funk.

Do you have to be funny every day?

    (No.)

We all have that problem, at times. I took a year off and I still blank out.
