Miss Britt - Dignity Is Overrated

Get a room, no, i mean, a life

Fucking. A.

I just got done paying bills.  And I know - a part of life and blah blah blah.  And its not the bills or the money or any of that necessarily that annoys me.  It is, specifically, where the fuck my money is going right now.

My two biggest expenditures for the month were not a mortgage. Or a car payment.  Or anything that most people expect to shell out cash towards.  Oh. No.

MY two biggest expenditures for the month?

*the gas station

*the home improvement store

Again - Fucking. A.  That’s pretty indicative of our lives right now.  Drive to work.  Drive home.  Work on this cock sucking house.  Puke.

Maybe I need a little more online shopping to bring some much needed “balance” to my life.  That’s got to be more effective than yoga.

(Psst… go check out These Walls Have Ears.  I am the shittiest friend in the world… YAY!)

  1. Kentucky Girl Says:

But it will all pay off in the end, right? Well, except they fucked up gasoline expenditure. Assholes. :violent006:

  2. Rich | Championable Says:

    That makes sense!

If buy an iPhone and a 17″ MacBook Pro with a 7200RM drive a 4 gigs of RAM, that’ll make my kids less expensives, from a budget-percentage standpoint! GENIUS!

Yay! Thanks, Ms. Britt! Let me go tell Maggie!

    (…10 minutes later.)

    Dude.

  3. Mr. Fabulous Says:

There is nothing wrong with you that a little shoe shopping couldn’t fix!

  4. avitable Says:

This is why I pay each bill as it arrives in the mail - I never feel that cumulative effect.

You don’t even mention that you’re paying for two, too!

  5. ADW Says:

Online shopping. Already? Didn’t you JUST go to Victoria’s Secret??? Ha ha.

Oh and I drive between 500 and 1000 miles a week for my job. Can I just say that all of the cocksucking oil companies can suck a moose knuckle for me.

  6. Joe the Troll Says:

The gas station would be killing me if I was still in outside sales.

  7. Rick Says:

Bought a Prius three weeks ago… 50 mpg and 73 cupholders. In case, yanno, both hands are already cupping something.

  8. themuttprincess Says:

    Bummer.

I would have to say that mortgage is still my largest expenditure…

    Go shopping!

  9. Jay Says:

I don’t think it’s appropriate to classify booze as a home improvement expense.

  10. Fogspinner Says:

I can totally relate. Our mortgage is, as of this month, $179 LESS than our fuel bill. And we don’t drive gas guzzlers. *sniff*

  11. AmyD Says:

LMAO @ Jay! HAHAHAHAHHA!!!! (Britt also considers that to be a beauty product!!)

This, Britt, is why I don’t budget. It’s also why I pay all the bills once a month and then I puke blood for the next day or so… then I have a whole month before I have to do it again. That’s the way you put on your big girl panties and deal with that shit.

  12. Miss Britt Says:

Kentucky Girl: yes, I just keep picturing me in a pool…

Rich | Championable: :lmao: maybe you should tell Maggie that a Spa day would also make the husband less expensive

Mr. Fabulous: I took your advice and bought two pair. GENIUS!

avitable: I don’t have the time to pay each bill as it comes in. Fuck, a girl’s gotta sleep!

    ADW: Amen to that!!

Joe the Troll: yeah, my husband is a sub contractor and drives to about 6 separate jobs a day

Rick: but you still have to be seen in a Prius??

themuttprincess: you must live in a nicer house than me! LOL

Jay: sure it is, because that’s the only way I can get the husband to work!

Fogspinner: yeah, who voted for these fuckers anyway?

AmyD: nothing says beauty like booze!

I pay them all once a month too. Well, twice a month I guess because there are two bills that come in a week later, three days before they’re due. I also pay a month in advance so I don’t have to stress about it.

  13. DutchBitch Says:

I hear ya! I look at the bankaccount at the end of the month and wonder where it fucking all went! Online shopping surely works! Well, except for the bank account issues…

  14. RW Says:

Not to bring this down into drear reality but if there are real financial questions just contact me. You too can lose your job and not work for an extended period of time!

  15. themuttprincess Says:

    I own a condo.

Even my shoe/clothing and girly stuff doesn’t even come close to my mortgage…….

I live in a city with hundreds of thousands of people… I can guess you do not. Prices differ. So that has nothing to do with nicer…

  16. ANO Says:

I think you have the right idea with a little online shopping!

  17. Miss Britt Says:

DutchBitch: well, that and the fact that I’m a cheapo! lol

RW: I’ve actually been watching your investing stuff… I have some extra cash I’d like to do SOMETHING with… although my whole “hoarder” instinct is difficult to overcome.

themuttprincess: I live in a town of 1500 people, heh, I guess that’s different! lol

ANO: a little BBW therapy is a good thing!

  18. themuttprincess Says:

Uh, yeah. There is a huge difference. HUGE!

    Good luck!!!

  19. RW Says:

Stocks carry risk, but you could set up a connection between the US Treasury and your savings account to automatically rotate funds in and out of there buying T-bills every 4 weeks - totally online. Your bank account is insured and the T-Bills are fail safe, being backed by the govt. Every Thursday I buy a new 4-week T-bill (money is taken right out of the savings acct. by the US Treasury, and when they mature the US Treasury puts it right back in my savings account. The minimum is $1000. If you had $4000 you could set it up to happen automatically and not even think about it with 100% security.

T-bills are inching toward 5% so $4000 would get you - say - $16 a month in interest - which is $192 a year - and (of course) if you had more than $4000 it would be… well…. more!

    Sorry for putting everybody asleep.
