FOAD - the high school girl version

by Miss Britt on February 1, 2007

Let’s just get to it.

To the dry cleaners who have me sitting at work at 4:30 with absolutely nothing to do but go home - waiting for something to be delivered that I dropped off two fucking days ago… the same dry cleaners who called me 15 minutes ago to inform me that “by the way, um, the spot didn’t come out” of my boss’s fucking shirt. (Which I’m having to have dry cleaned because he asked me to carry it and I dropped it, in the mud, and then proceeded to step on it.  On accident.  I swear)  Awesome.  FOAD to you, Mr. Shitty Ass Service Dry Cleaners.

And here’s where I have to go vague… and kinda high school girlish…

… to people who talk shit - what the fuck ever.  I talk shit too.  Everyone does.  No biggie.

BUT…

…to the people whom I trusted that proceed to talk shit behind my back - FOAD.  Seriously.

I AM a bitch - you’re right on target there.  But I’m a loyal bitch.  Loyal to the core.  You never have to wonder what I’m really thinking or feeling or saying.  If I like you and respect you and trust you with my friendship - you’ll know it.

And if I don’t?  Well, you’ll probably know that too.  I won’t be outright rude - or mean - unless I’m provoked.  But I won’t be sneaky about it either.

You know how some people always talk shit about everyone?  Even people that you’re pretty sure they “like”?

Yeah, me too.  And yet I’m always surprised when I discover that those people are talking shit about me.

Surprised, and extremely hurt.

Psst... thanks for stopping by! I hope I didn't traumatize you too badly on your first visit. Remember to subscribe to my RSS feed if you want updates from the site!

What really hurts is it’s usually the one that you trusted most. Makes you wonder about your abilty to judge character and all that.

Maybe your boss won’t notice the spot? Blame the dry cleaners, they deserve it after making you wait

It’s 1 thing when you have a bestest friend & you gossip together…that’s fun! But when you meet someone & they rag on everybody else, that’s a red flag that they’re gonna do it to you. Especially, if they’ve known & are friends with the people they’re ragging on, longer than you.

I clicked on your Stikcam thing & it made my cursor stuck. Is that you on there now? And omgosh you’re soooooo cute!

    ps…that sucks about the shirt.

    I still don’t think that’s what happened. I’m guessing it’s a big misunderstanding.

I hate that too. But it’s true that, if they’re talking about other people to you, they’re talking about you to other people.
    Nasty.

Junebugg: I think that’s what gets me - doubting my ability to judge character. And usually I’m such a good judger!! LOL

    jane: I know, I know…

    Wicked H: You’re a loyal bitch too :-)

avitable: eh, never know I guess. I’m gonna have to get over it one way or another, aren’t I?

J.: I know, you’d think I would know that by now - and yet it always surprises me!

Well ya know Britt catty shit talking typically only comes from women. So an easy way to prevent it is be friends with men and guarded with women…

We are all dirty, ugly bitches, if you dig down deep enough!

Deb - yuou’d think, right? Which is why I DO normally stick with them men.

And come to find out… men do it too. :-(

I can’t believe he’s making you pay for the dry cleaning.

  11. AmyD February 1, 2007 1:19 pm

I thought Dry Cleaners were supposed to be miracle workers?

And, WTF is going on? Avi knows and I don’t? I’m hurt!

  12. Paco February 1, 2007 2:31 pm

I’m a little surprised he’s making you pay for it! You should find a site that has dry-cleaning you can sign up for over the internet, and then show him “this cool new site” that you found and suggest he try it with his shirt to see if it really works. I’d be shocked if he didn’t do it:) J/W were you provoked in any way before said incident occured?

  13. Miss Britt February 1, 2007 2:34 pm

I OFFERED to pay for it because I dropped the shirt. It was completely an accident, but I’m still the one who dumped it in the mud and then proceeded to walk all over it.

  14. Paco February 1, 2007 2:42 pm

All right. You know you’re sexy when you’re mad… right;)

  15. avitable February 1, 2007 2:43 pm

Amy, if you read the forums that you signed up for, you’d know.

I fucking hate people like that. They gossip about their “best friend”. I know a few.

It wasn’t me. After watching you on camera, both pieces, I added you to my Blogroll. After I wrote a post about a technical issue in Blogger. Hardly an opportunity to even mention your name. Hell, I’m even writing and it’s not 1 am.
