I don’t even want to post today…

by Miss Britt on January 23, 2007

… because everything I think about writing is dripping with emotional goo.

I’m really tired of my emotional goo.

I’m tired of feeling like I’m on the verge of tears.  Or murder.

I hope to God it’s still just a side effect of quitting smoking.  My bigger fear is that I’m turning into one of those people that always has “something” going on.  “Something” that’s wrong.  That person that you have to walk on egg shells around because you never know what will be up - but you always know it will be something.

I don’t want to be that woman.  I absolutely can NOT be that woman.

Psst... thanks for stopping by! I hope I didn't traumatize you too badly on your first visit. Remember to subscribe to my RSS feed if you want updates from the site!

Hey I hear you! Amen to that! I am sure that it’s a quitting side effect. I am glad to hear you are still a quitter though! Way to go!

If anyone will NOT be that woman, it’s you. Because you kick ass.

And if you’re having cravings, let me know. I might be help you out with that whole oral fixation.

    Rawr.

From what I can tell, you are not that woman.

I know that woman. And man did she have a really shitty week.

She actually took up smoking to cope.

Have you thought about maybe taking something as a mood elevator? Some doctors prescribe well butrin when you are quitting smoking to help with the emotional mess. If you are interested in a more homeopathic remedy there is a vitamin called Kava Kava, it helps to boost your mood and level out the emotions, I used it when I quit a certain lifestyle (if you read my blog you know the lifestyle) It helps a lot.

You’ve had some emotional stuff going on, it’s completely understandable. We all go through rough patches, it is not going to change WHO you are because out of all the people I know, you could never be one of *those* women.

what’s wrong babe? Give me a call if you want. I may not be able to teach you any more about poker, but I can still listen:)

I think the mere fact that you are aware of everything that’s going on inside you and wondering how it’s affecting you and others means that you are NOT one of those women. Those women don’t have a clue.

Don’t worry. I’ll be that woman for you.

  9. Jennine January 23, 2007 2:05 pm

Hey…I resemble that remark. I’m already that woman which is why I can say that life sometimes just throws shit your way and it seems to me that your blog is a great way to scrape it off. Don’t underestimate your friends here. We aren’t that superficial.

    Well, maybe Avi is.

Sometimes all you can do is breathe. It’s a great place to start.

I’m sure it has to do with quitting, and thus will pass. I didn’t take any mood elevators when I quit (other than chocolate), but I did find that beating the crap out of someone who deserved it was very cathartic!! :-)

  11. Wicked H January 23, 2007 2:38 pm

Na, just being aware that you do not want to be THAT woman will keep you safe.

Take it one moment at a time, it’s all good. Hang in there kiddo!

debkitty: Kava Kava, that is an excellent idea - thank you Deb!!!!

AmyD: I really need to get a puffy heart icon on here. And I would put it right XXXhereXXX

paco: thanks… for listening, and trying to help

jennyryan: That is a GREAT point!

Mist 1: you are so reliable

Jennine: you are soooo not that woman Jennine. Not even close.

Joe the Troll: yeah, but the security at the White House is pretty tight these days

Wicked H: no “ignorance is bliss” huh?

Again, amigo: nicotine is the worst. I have friends who’ve quick heroin, alcohol, cocaine… and only heroin comes close to nicotine.

Soldier on, sister. You’re actually doing fine, from this distant perspective.

  16. Miss Britt January 24, 2007 10:21 am
