This is going to be the first in a fairly short weekly series.  You’ve been warned.

I’ve seen a few blogs do this “bloggers I love” shit, and I have mixed feelings.  On one hand, I think it’s cool to see someone recognizing other bloggers.  On the other hand, no one has yet to recognize me.  Fuckers.  All of you.  (Well, Jose did  post my picture once, so I can’t really say no one I guess… sorry about that, Jose)

Anyway… I’m jumping on the bandwagon.  Again.

My first Blogger I’d Like to Hump is, of course, Amy of Amy’s Musings.

I have to do Amy first because she is the reason I started blogging in the first place.  Amy and I go way, way back.  We used to actually work together, back in the day when we were both internet marketing whores.

I knew from the first time I talked to her on the phone - a conversation that lasted about two hours - that she was someone I would share a genuine connection with.  She possesses all of the qualities I love about myself: brains, wit, charm and a genuine loathing of stupid people.

She adores her children and her husband, but in a way that doesn’t make you feel like a shitty ass parent and spouse yourself.

Her life has not always been easy - but you would never know that upon first meeting her, because she’s not a whiner.  She’s a bitcher, don’t get me wrong, but she doesn’t whine.

She taught me the phrase “don’t let anyone live rent free in your head”.

She also lovingly showed me the wonder and beauty that is Online Shopping.

And she loves me.  Always.  She’s one of those people that you have to have around because she is constantly telling you how brilliant you are (or that you should quit your job and move to California where you would surely make millions) - but not in a crazy suck-up stalker way.  Because when I’m full of shit, she calls me on that too.

And the fact that she loves me is doubly precious because she knows me, really knows me.  She knows how old I am, she knows the details of my family issues, she knows my career history - pretty much all of it.

Everyone needs a champion, and Amy is mine.  If Avi is my Blog Husband, Amy is my Blog Sister.  Or, maybe, my Blog Lesbian Lover.
